Fernwood Ladies Choir is a 3-part ladies community choir, based in Fernwood just outside of Newark in Nottinghamshire. Our choir is built on fun, friendship and our shared love of belting out a repertoire of some of the best pop, rock and musical theatre classics out there. Think everything from Spice Girls to Metallica, and The Lion King to Wicked!
We welcome ladies of all ages and musical abilities - there are no scary auditions here, just an opportunity to find your voice in a supportive group who cheer each other on. While we don't take ourselves too seriously and there's always a lot of laughter, we're proud of the community we've built and the sound we make. If you're a local lady who loves to sing, come and join the fun - we'd love to have you!

Fernwood Ladies Choir is the brain child of our Musical Director, Kev Jackson. Kev's been running community choirs across the East Midlands for 15 years, and set up the FLC in 2024.
He and our accompanist Jane know just how to get the best from our members' voices. They have a knack for making sure our rehearsal sessions are fun and easy going, and that we end up sounding great!

HOW, WHERE & WHEN
Come and join the fun!

We're just outside Newark, Nottinghamshire and rehearse on Wednesdays, 7.30 - 9.30pm at Fernwood Village Hall.

Expect a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, and a good giggle.

All abilities welcome. No auditions and you don't need to read music, it helps if you can but it's not essential!

Week one is FREE so come along and give us a try! Then it's just £5 per week for 2 hours doing something you love with friends.

Pay only when you attend - no annual or term-based subs.

Looking for some vocal entertainment for an event in or around Newark-on-Trent? Look no further! Fernwood Ladies Choir loves to perform and we'll have your guests toe tapping (at the very least!) in no time. We don't charge for performances - we're a community choir and this is one way that we give back to our local area.
