What are you waiting for?!
There's no right or wrong time to join Fernwood Ladies Choir, new members are always welcome. Your first week is offered as a free trial (you're trialling us, not the other way around!) and there's no obligation. There's nothing to lose and everything to gain. Come and find your tribe!
Joining is easy. Contact us via one of the links on this page, message us on Facebook, or just turn up for a Wednesday rehearsal. Check the home page for rehearsal dates - we tend to run with local school terms and break for the holidays. We're excited to meet you!
CHOOSING THE FLC
What's on offer

2 hours a week just for you, belting out pop and rock bangers and musical theatre classics with friends. If this is your thing, you're in the right place! ​​​

Audition free membership - all singing abilities are welcome. If you can read music that's great, but it's certainly not a requirement.​

Step-by-step coaching for all songs, at a pace that works for us. Some songs click more quickly than others and that's OK!

A choir that doesn't take itself too seriously. Of course, we want to sound great (and do!), but we make getting there fun.

Opportunities to perform locally - nothing beats the buzz of singing to an audience!

Flexibility - we'd​​ love you to come weekly, and we think you'll want to, but there's no pressure when life gets in the way.

Pay only when you attend. There aren't any term-based or annual subs. Your first session is free, then it's just £5 per week.

A whole new group of friends! ​ We cheer each other on, lift each other up and have a great laugh every week!
COMING ALONG?
What to expect on week one
Come for 7.15pm so we can say hello and buddy you up with an experienced choir member. You're guaranteed a warm welcome.

Remember, your singing ability isn't important. No one is judging. If you love to sing, we'd love to have you!

​We're a friendly lot and we all remember first week nerves. We'll help you find your feet in no time.​​​​
​
You'll be supported to find the right choir section for your voice. No need to decide right away - move around until you're comfortable.
​
You'll be given the music you need. Don't be put off if you can't read music - lots of us are in the same boat and it doesn't stop us!
​
Be ready for a good old sing and lots of laughter! You'll know the songs we're working on and you'll pick it up faster than you expect.​
